Mae Nunn

I really liked all four of the Texas Treasures books, but I can't figure out why they were all included in a series. I thought the Texas Treasures fundraiser in [b:Sealed With A Kiss|1139674|Sealed With A Kiss (Love Inspired)|Mae Nunn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1181337243s/1139674.jpg|1126954] would be the focus of the other three books, but it was only mentioned in that book. The second book, [b:Amazing Love|2211622|Amazing Love|Mae Nunn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266639282s/2211622.jpg|2217410], was about a former employee of Sealed With a Kiss's hero and had absolutely nothing to do with the people or fundraiser in the first book. The third book, [b:Mom in the Middle (Texas Treasures Series #3)|2169740|Mom in the Middle (Texas Treasures Series #3) (Love Inspired #397)|Mae Nunn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266602023s/2169740.jpg|2175363], was even further removed, and while the fourth book, [b:Lone Star Courtship: Texas Treasures|3152163|Lone Star Courtship Texas Treasures|Mae Nunn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1267816941s/3152163.jpg|3183709], took place in Texas, none of the main characters even LIVED in Texas. They were all very good books; I just don't see why they were all put in a series.… (más)

A friend sent me this book.

Jessica gets a reduction in her housing in exchange for revamping the landscaping around the townhouses. She's recovering from a leg injury that ended her professional dancing career and trying to launch a second career in gardening/landscape design.

Drew's recovered from an accident of his own and now is a partner in a car restoration shop when he moves in next door. Drew's original plan included looking up a girl he'd known in the past and starting a political career.

God has a way of changing people's plans.

My biggest complaint is one that's common to the Love Inspired Series--the man and women end up getting engaged/married after knowing each other for only a short time. I'm not quite sure that it's true love at that point. I don't think there's been time to move beyond the infatuation stage after only a few weeks or months.

I liked how Jessica treated Faith--trying to include her, not talking down to her, etc. (Especially compared to how Amelia treated Faith like she was a burden.)

I liked the lady who helped differently abled people be creative and learn about creativity.… (más)

I liked the charisma between the two main characters in this story. They had very different backgrounds, but blended well together.

Casey Hardy (who you would have met a little bit from book #3) thinks her career as a businesswoman is going along just as planned. But when a British lawyer, Barrett Westbrook, shows up to look over her business ideas, things start to unravel a little. Can these two people keep both their jobs and the feelings for each other in tact? A pleasurable romance story, with a little bit of British charm.… (más)
