This is, In my opinion, the best book on meteors, metorites etc. The authors explain the subject in detail, describing the various types of meteorites. The volume is copiously illustrated. I you only want one book on the subject, this is it

Rocks from Space: Meteorites and Meteorite Hunters… por O. Richard Norton

Although nontechnical, the book is based on scientific data and theories. This is a good source on the types of meteros and meteorites. The book provides a good insight into the history of meteiorite strikes, the size versus frequency, and the probabilities for more meteorite strikes in the future. There is also a little history on a few well known meteorite hunters, mostly of the past.

Impact affects are covered as well as dnd there are plenty of photos of both the meteorites and the craters of various sizes and ages some have left behind.… (más)
