Greatest unsung hero of the Civil War - deeply tragic
I found this an interesting read into the life of Anna Ella Carroll. I didn't even know who she was until I read this book. I thought this book was well written with an insight into a woman's place in the unfolding of the incidents and the Union's victory in the Civil War.
