Not my favorite book of poetry. A very quick read. I'm not sure these poems met the technical "requirements" of falling into the limericks and haiku categories. Though poetry itself is a lenient genre, I'm sure some of my English teachers would find these not up to their standards.

I'm trying not to think too hard on these. They definitely brought some haunting images to mind. I did identify very much with "Tired".

Though there were a few grammatical errors, this book was overall a good read. Many of the poems reflected a dark undertone, which I was easily able to relate to. The plight of a woman who must endure abuse made for an emotional experience. There were a few instances in which the author appeared hopeful at her current situation, but the dark subject matter still permeated throughout the book. I can certainly imagine the real-world topics that the author must be subjected to.
