Geordie likes baseball, crunching carrots and anything to do with water. But when he doesn't tell the truth he's grounded. And then things change.
I was tickled by the sense of peeking in a child's journal, and loved the art and layout. There are lots of rebus type puzzles, and some of them are quite subtle. The poems and puzzles do tell a story, whose impact is strengthened by the directness of the experience of the pre-teen narrator.
