This was a disappointment; the neighbourhood walking tours complete with their own maps that were such a great feature of the New York City and Chicago guides I bought a decade ago are conspicuous by their absence. Covering all four major tourist cities in such a small volume also leads to an air of superficiality. Nevertheless there are one or two things mentioned that aren't in any of the other guides I've read.
