I've always thought of baseball as a joyous sport. You couldn't tell it by these monologues and reminiscences of baseball. For some of these characters baseball was the only bright spot in their miserable lives and for others it just broke their hearts. Sigh. Read George Will's Men at Work: The Craft of Baseball instead. It will be more fun.

This is an erotic novel taken from the point of view of Eva Braun, Hitler's infamous lover. I found this book to be tedious and boring. It had long endless passages of nonsense. The author rambled on and on and on. Overall, this book was unreadable.
