Biografía breve
Stephen Moss was born in England, but spent time as a child in wildly diverse places, including several years in Brazil, Belgium, and Malaysia.

He eventually settled in New York, but still travels avidly, something he uses as inspiration and input to his writing. Stephen is a fan of Hard SF by masters such as Iain M. Banks, Peter F. Hamilton and Orson Scott Card and the many fantastic writers creating masterpieces every year.

His first series, The Fear Saga, combines his passion for Hard Science Fiction with his passion for travel. The three-part series takes place across the globe, from London to Brussels, Africa to Antarctica, the Hindu Kush mountains to the back streets of Tel Aviv. The few places in the books which Stephen hasn't been to in person he researches avidly, wanting to put his characters into the reality of their surroundings, and knowing that the settings for a story are as important as the individuals you then paint into them.

I liked this book. While there was really nothing new or surprising on this invasion from space story, volume 1 or 3, it managed to capture my attention and kept me motivated to finish the book. I know there are two more in the series but I am not sure if I am going to jump right into the next one or not.

Pretty enjoyable alien invasion story. For the most part, pretty straight-forward with the exception that the aliens here are not cookie-cutter clones of each other. They are quite fleshed-out, three-dimensional beings, each with individual motivations and ambitions.

Audiobook notes: R. C. Bray is one of my favorite readers, and this one is another feather in his cap.

(Recommended read from Mike Rios.)

I really enjoyed this book and this series. I think that this might be my favorite of the three, mostly because we get to see more of the Mobiliei and find out that they are not a monolithic species all of one mind. Granted, we knew that already from the first 2 books, but this was nice to see their race nicely rounded out. Turns out that they are not all horrible evil beings. There are every bit exactly like Humans - full of greed, ambition, warmth, love, evil, etc, etc, etc.
Not sure about some of the humans that we've been dealing with all this time, though - for some reason, the author basically wrote off quite a few of the characters for no obvious reason.
But in the end, I really liked this book and the series.

Great follow-up to [b:Fear the Sky|22171697|Fear the Sky (The Fear Saga, #1)|Stephen Moss|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1400430094s/22171697.jpg|41514488], and I think that I liked this one even better. I was intrigued with the vision of how humans adapted the alien technology for our use, although I was greatly unimpressed with the idea of making a 6 year old the Great Warrior.
