This monograph examines the process by which an unwieldy and complacent British army in Asia recovered from the body blows of 1941/42 and what the creation of a doctrine for jungle fighting and an effective training system contributed to the building what was probably the best British field force of World War II. The book also works as a useful review if it's been awhile since you've read Louis Allen and other standard chroniclers of the campaign. I'll also note that the proofing of this book seems rather indifferent, as errors have gotten through that should have been picked up by any run-of-the-mill spell-check software.… (más)
