For readers like me with only a modest understanding of statistics this book works well: the author manages to explain complex and abstruse ideas simply.

Clearly he is partisan - but then so is everyone who writes on this subject, including the handful of reviewers who have trashed this book. Even if only a fraction of what he says is accurate the Western world is making some very far-reaching choices on wholly inadequate intellectual underpinnings.

A brilliant account of the importance of analytical rigour. A lesson for both climatologists and anyone who deals with bullsh*t statistics as a matter of course (i.e. the entire readership of the Daily Mail). A book which has received shamefully less publicity than it deserves.
