It was completely out of character for Terri Maness to not let her coworkers know if she was going to be absent or late.

No one had heard from Terri and she wasn't answering her phone.

No one could have ever imagined the reason for Terri's absence.

Six days later, Michelle Katf was badly beaten inside her own apartment. She barely escaped with her life.

Twenty-year-old Joan Butler wasn't so lucky.

Roomates Theresa Brown and Christine Rusch had a party on Saturday night. By Monday there whereabouts would be a mystery.

But not for long.

Police were hot on the trail of Richard Grissom Jr.; a man with a lengthy criminal past that typically involved monetary-based crimes.

Until police discovered sealed Juvenile records.

Richard Grissom was a man familiar with murder. In his early teens, Grissom had brutally murdered his 72-year-old neighbor.

Now, his bloodlust had been revived.

Police and FBI would work together to stop this manipulative, cold-blooded killer.

Suddenly Gone by former FBI Agent Dan Mitrtione is the gripping tale of Grissom's horrendous crimes and law enforcement's round-the-clock efforts to bring him to justice.

Well written and very detailed, Suddenly Gone is a fast paced read - until the trial, where it then become a bit redundant. Yet, still well worth the read.
