All Fish Faces gives an up close and personal view of tropical reef fish. The photographs are colorful and fun, as well as intimate. When you can look into the fish's eyes, they become easy to engage with and relate to. In addition, the photographs show the amazing diversity and beauty of the reef habitat. This engages children of all ages to talk about everything from colors, parts of fish, habitats, adaptations, food webs and climate change, pollution and how we can protect our ocean habitats and wildlife.

Fish photographs are grouped by type so it is easy to see just how many different species there are in each family. The beginning of each fish family section gives a brief paragraph filled with fun facts about where the fish live, adaptations and what they eat. I enjoyed learning about the unique looking frogfish that can imitate a sponge, the aggressive triggerfish and their sharp teeth, the large groupers and the many colorful angel fish that help clean reef animals.

With 10% of profits benefiting the Marine Megafauna Foundation and tips on how to help our ocean environments, All Fish Faces will help kids become passionate about ocean animals and conservation and maybe even lead to some citizen science projects.
