Through numerous somewhat contrived scenarios, they are forced to spend time together, and thus they grow to love one another, despite their differences. There is a lot of repetition to their interactions, such that we generally know how each scene will play out. They initially alternate between flirting and infuriating each other and have lots of self-doubt. Both of our main characters ultimately become better people, due to the other.
I probably would have loved this as a young adult, but I was often thinking ‘Would you two just get on with it already?’ The writing flows smoothly & the book reads easily, (though seems longer than it needs to be).
