Summary: This book tells the life of dragonflies in an interesting way. It talks about their life cycle like they are on a game show.
This Is Your Life Cycle presents the life cycle of a dragonfly via the premise of a game show. Dahlia the Dragonfly is the contestant and the mystery guests that appear on the show include her mother, little brother, a box turtle As the mystery guests are revealed, the life cycle of the dragonfly is explained. Additional information about the dragonfly is also presented through the story including the insects defenses, body parts, prey, and movement.
Susan says: Very simple text explains a subway trip, but each two page spread features a subway in a different country. The colors used in the digital collage's watercolor paintings are gorgeous - fluid, peaceful, yet clear. There is a subway pass naming each country on each page, because the subway systems are very similar throughout - an equalizer and a way to show that all countries are different and yet the same. There is information about all of the subway systems at the end to do a report, or go on to additional countries.… (más)
