You know, this book wasn’t exactly what I expected…I’d wager about 90% of the book was an analysis and comparison of water and water sources for drinking. I was expecting more in the area of waters health benefits and it was not here. I’ll give Meyerowitz credit for having footnotes and resources, something which was not present in Water: For Health, For Healing, For Life, Your Not Sick, You’re Thirsty by Batmanghelidj, The overwhelming information on various water content (from tap to bottled) and the analysis and break down of pro’s and con’s for various water filtrations systems and processes was a bit much for me…and in the end not very helpful. This book is useful, I think, if one is building and wants to consider the various ways to get purified drinking water, but I’m personally unsure how to make use of the information beyond knowing that there are risks and benefits to almost every option for drinking water…yet you NEED to drink it. So, you’re left with picking the method that is both convenient for you and that you HOPE is relatively safe. This is another I’d recommend from the library or used before purchasing to make sure it would be of use to you long term. I’m not upset that I spent time reading it…thank goodness it was short, but defiantly not what I was expecting. B-.… (más)
