I read this book many years ago and laughed about the the topic of southern culture surrounding funerals and the food that goes along with it. I recently saw a copy at a thrift store and decided I would reread it.

Full of humor and interesting recipes and an interesting look at how southerners especially those in Mississippi view death, grief, and funerals. Full of real life examples gathered from the hometown of Greenville, MS.

This was amusing to read, but I'm glad I will never have to go to one of those funeral receptions.
