The Awakening starts of with a teenage boy, living in London, England called Alex. He is unhappy with much of his life, he had no friends, was bullied and he could do nothing right when it came to his stepfather as hs half brother was better than everything compared to him.
His life changes when he meets a new student, Gabriella who takes an interest in him and then strange things start happening.

What can I say WOW The Awakening is an amazing book, I loved it completely. There was action, fantasy and love and humour all mixed in and I was totally hooked.

I couldn’t stop laughing when Alex got drunk it was hilarious

The story was very detailed and thorough, the ideas throughout the book were ingenius and it was very well written. My imagination could really flow. As I only read just before bed I was anxious to get to bed and read more of what was happening in Chapter Hill and the Warren. What would happen with Alex and Gabriella when the The Sorrow finally came.

I totally enjoyed reading The Awakening and can’t wait until The Veil, book #2 in the Hasea Chronicles is available.

The Awakening could very easily be made into a film and is something I definitely would watch.… (más)
