This history of an iconic American landmark will definitely have high appeal for New York residents and people interested in the architecture and history of New York City. I do wonder about audience because the text seems aimed for older elementary students and middle schoolers, but I feel that they'd hesitate to pick up an unpaged illustrated book. So maybe the main audience is adults?

The illustrations outshine the text and the text is in no way lacking. The history of an address- an odd concept that produces this fantastic book. Not just for New Yorkers, for if you have seen the New Year's ball drop on television you know One Times Square.

The author used hand-drawn illustrations, as well as photographs, engineering drawings, and maps to make this an attractive book.… (más)
