I picked this up at a library sale without really looking at it thinking that it was a genealogy mystery. It's not, but it is well-written and the two main characters, Washington, D.C. cops Leigh Ann Warren and Dillon Upshur Kennedy, sound like people I would like if I met them. Part of the book is set in Sanctuary, a town where the residents own craft businesses which may or may not have been based on Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, Maryland.

Billie and Josh get along great even though he is new to the city and just a "country boy". He gets interested in Billie's best friend but doesn't let on that she is interested in Josh herself.
All is well in the end.

Jennifer's father is the pricipal at her school and he asks a special favor of her. She is to tutor David Hough who is thought of as pretty much hopeless. As she gets to know David, she is perplexed as to why he fails certain classes and excells in others. She need to get to the root of the problem.
A sweet story which I was not able to guess the problem until it was revealed. Rare in this type of book.
