What a mind blowing story. The blurb of this story makes it seem like something deviant and dark. However, that was not this story. Yes, the premise was one of that but it was so much more than that. The growth in the characters was phenomenal. There was no rape or dubious consent that one would think in a story based on this premise. Instead there is a man that is so much more than a kidnapper (the things he did to protect her were mind boggling and even sweet) who was caught in the darkness and the girl who wanted to fly free and was pure light. I enjoyed watching their friendship, as crazy as that sounds grow. I also will think fondly of Grey.
I can see why this book won awards. It was very well done. I'll be thinking about it for a long time and about how "grey is silver but doesn't shine."… (más)
