Island in the Salish Sea por Sheryl McFarlane

What a great book to read children when learning about Canada and different areas in the country. Using a young girl visiting her grandmother on an island in the Salish Sea, you will see how the people live, what the land is like, what types of animals and plants are found. This is also a great story to share between grandmothers and their grandchildren about spending a fun summer together. My grandson is only four, so he didn't appreciate this story as much as children 6 and up would. The illustrations are amazing. Each one looks like a watercolour that could be framed and hung on a wall. They are gorgeous. A great picture book for any library. I Love Kisses por Sheryl McFarlane

A cute book about all the different kinds a kisses that a child receives. The rhyming repetitive style and bright illustrations will appeal to toddlers. A great book to read while giving hugs and kisses to your child or grand-child. The book shows diversity, love of animals and there are a lot of settings to add interest to a child's day. A good addition to a family library. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.
