A deceptively shabby police detective solves murders.
C+ (Okay).
It's still too long, too slow, and too predictable. But I love this character, and this season spends a little more time with him.

The Apple Dumpling Gang / The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again / Gus / Hot Lead & Cold Feet
The Original Series is my favorite show of the Trek franchise. I imprinted young when I developed a crush on Captain Kirk at eleven. At it's best it could be amazing, and featured scripts by science fiction talents such as Theodore Sturgeon and Harlan Ellison.
Many of the best episodes were produced in the First Season, and these are both strong, memorable episodes. "What Little Girls Are Made Of" was written by Robert Bloch, the distinguished science fiction and horror writer of Psycho fame and was the one really Chapel-centric episode where we get a look into the background of Nurse Christine Chapel. "Dagger of the Mind" marks the first time on the series Spock uses the mind meld. So both are well-worth viewing.… (más)

C+ (Okay).
They try to mix things up a little, with a lot of gimmicks. You can tell they're having fun on set, and I guess I am too, most of the time. But the foundation of the show is getting pretty wobbly.
