A collection of poems by the Trinidadian/Guyanese writer. It provides an overview of his work since the 1950s. The poems from the "Mercy Ward" sequence will bring you to tears. Some of the poems of his youth will bring a smile to your face. This is a delight.
A good collection of modern Anglo-Caribbean verse. Intended for schools, but worth picking up by the general reader.
