Tons and tons of speculation by historians about labyrinth-related things. Got to the point where I just couldn't swallow one more unfounded speculation.

This is a nice anthology of mysteries starting with Edgar Allan Poe, Francois Eugene Vidocq and Edgar Wallace going through more modern authors such as Ed McBain, Sue Grafton, George Simenon and Paul Cain. There is a brief biography of each author (somewhat outdated since this was compiled in the 90s).

It's a good starter collection for people who like pulp mysteries.

A good survey-style history of labyrinths and mazes (and yes, the two are different, as the author explains at some length). Okay, but gets a bit repetitive, and I found I wanted some more documentation at various points.
