The work that goes into these works of art is quite amazing.

My cousin is a fiber artist who creates quilts. I never quite understood what that meant, until I went to one of her exhibitions once. These are not functional quilts, but beautiful, hand-quilted photographs on fabric, the size of a medium wall hanging. She told me about this book (okay, she's one of the artists featured in it), and I was fascinated to find how prevalent quilt art is. These are the works of twenty midwestern textile artists, and they are just beautiful.
