Learned a lot about penguins as well as the perils they face on the ice shelf. The pictures are wonderful.

for the armchair explorer in all of us, wildlife photographer McCrae's account of his time spent among the scientists of the Neumayer III Antartic research station is adventurous and fascinating and, as David Attenborough would say, extraordinary.
