In this historical fiction early chapter book, we meet Sophie who is one of the new "Saints" or member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Kirtland Ohio in the 1830s. We read of the some of the struggles she undergoes when her family moves to Kirtland from Massachusetts. The story revolves around her family specifically her mother who is pregnant and her cat, Aurora. It is the first in a series (I believe of six). I look forward to hearing about Sophie and other early members of the church.

What a great story! A slow beginning, I almost got bored with it, but once it picked up it was awesome. It was very refreshing to read a mystery where the answer *isn't* totally obvious... I was confused and intrigued the entire time, and completely surprised by the ending!

An LDS missionary comes to Throstleford and turns the town upside down, but especially one young woman named Esther Grey, who can't decide where her destiny lies, with her old safe religion and Tempest Feather or a new faith and an unknown life.

Julian from Lodon, joins the LDS church with his family and travels to Navoo. Many hardships are in store for the newly baptised family, but thier strength and faith help them.
