While the romance in the Magnate's Takeover was, for me, the better romance, the plot in the Tycoon's Secret was better, but they both kept me engaged and reading and I enjoyed them.

The first one by Mary McBride is about a biillionaire who sees a run-down motel near his new shiny hotel and decides to do something about it personally. What he doesn't expect is that he will find love, and he doesn't know if she'll forgive his lies.

It was pretty predictable but I really enjoyed the characters and their building relationship.

The Tycoon's Secret wraps up the series. Paige Halliday is a decorator and after receiving a gift from a mysterious benefactor she finds herself attracted to the delivery guy, Sam Balfour, who is a playboy. He finds himself intrigued by her as well but will he love her and leave her?

It was a fun read, the characters sparkled and I liked how the series finished. The party at the end fell a bit flat but overall it was a good pair of stories.

from Wanamaker OBCZ; nice book to pass the time. Jack is a Pinkerton agent with an agenda to catch a thief, but he needs a name only wife for his disguise. So, he picks the mousiest woman from the file pool, only she's not quite mousey. Set in Missouri in the 1860's, an entertaining read

Fun read: This is my first book by this author and I was not disapointed. This was a fun story that was highly entertaining. The romance was sweet and the characters loveable.
The supporting characters were wonderful and I liked the small town that was going on.
I thought the suspense could have been worked a little more. It was not that hard to figure out who did what. But there is the element of suspense that adds a little extra spice to the story line.
I do recommend this story for a light fun read.… (más)
