I enjoyed the book. I didn't know about the history of Kansas at all. The way it was written was good and easy to follow for the age group. The clips at the beginning of the chapters is a nice interesting touch.

I received this as an e-book, but couldn't put it down. I found a couple of spots where a word was missing, but other than that, it was good reading. It was good to hear of the struggles that new states had around the slavery issue. I could picture so much of the story in my head; well written.
