- Biografía breve
- Bruce McAllister is known primarily for his literary fiction and fantasy, science fiction and thriller fiction, which he's been publishing professionally since he was sixteen. He was born in 1946 in Baltimore, MD, to a peripatetic Navy family with an Annapolis-graduate father who, as an oceanographer, served in anti-submarine warfare research with NATO during the Cold War and an underdog-championing anthropologist/archeologist mother whose specialties were Early Man and Native American studies. His short fiction has appeared in literary quarterlies, national magazines, original anthologies, "year's best" anthologies and college readers. His fiction has won awards from Glimmer Train magazine and the National Endowment for the Arts; and been a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, Locus and New Letters awards. He has served on judges panels for the NEA/CCLM, James Tiptree Memorial Award, and Philip K. Dick Award, and was for a number of years associate editor of the Best Science Fiction anthology series edited by Harry Harrison and Brian Aldiss.

I did find things interesting every once in a great while, and the imagery was beautiful. The village sounds amazing and makes me want to go there, despite all the creepy things from the story. All in all, this but book wasn't the worst but I didn't feel it was anything super special either.… (más)
