About the Book :

Learning a foreign language is always on my bucket list. And learning Spanish was a very fantasy thing. But somehow, I have restricted myself and wanted to complete the insatiable thirst in learning more no. of Indian languages initially and then switch to others. Incidentally, after I have made this decision, I won a book in an international Giveaway from Library Thing. I could not resist myself from reading the book in one go.

This book completely stresses upon a very practical approach of learning Spanish Language in the form of simple and daily conversations and small stories. Each conversation starts in Spanish Language and also has a English translated version.

The story/conversations include Shopping, Calling a Taxi, Requesting a Work Appointment, Booking a Hotel, Beach holidays, Baseball Game Invitations, Help! etc. that which people generally encounter every day. A total of 105 sample conversations are included in the book to make learning the language a fun ride.

A definite recommendation to everyone who wants to learn a conversational Spanish Language.

I have been studying Korean for a LONG time but I have never taken any classes. I study by myself from books and apps, so I am always looking for something new to push me past my current level (where I seem to be stuck).

I jumped at this book as soon as I saw it offered. I'm glad I did. I like the layout and the content. There are some good explanations and it actual has hangul (written Korean) in the text. I HATE books that only show you the Romanized Korean (written with the English alphabet). If you are going to study/learn Korean, you MUST be able to read Hangul.

In my opinion, this book is a great aid to my Korean studying arsenal. It has the word listed, the meaning, a sample sentence and the translation of the sentence. It may not be a great book for you if you are just starting out...it's more of a high-beginner/mid-level study aid.

I think "word" books (vocabulary) need to have sample sentences rather than just meanings...like this one. The reason being, even though you may know the meaning of a certain word, you may still not be able to use it properly. Context and/or placement within the sentence, etc could be different than what you assume...prefix, suffix, etc.

I give this easy to use book 4 out of 5 stars!… (más)

2000 Most Common Arabic Words in Context
This is a numbered list of 2000 words. They are not grouped by category or in alphabetical order, nor is there a searchable index. The words are listed in Arabic and in English and identified by what type of word they are (pronoun, verb etc.) They are then used in a sentence, also written in both Arabic & English. E.g., the provided context sentence for “was” is “Jack was a polite man”. I suppose if you are trying to learn Arabic characters and vocabulary, this can be a helpful resource, but it is probably not the most interesting way to study a second language.
