A thorough, well written textbook of Physical Geography, giving a good coverage of important topics. Keeping in mind the target audience of college freshman, the authors explain the scientific jargon, and include a decent glossary. This book is basically on a par with other books of the type; the main factor that sets it apart is that it is slightly cheaper, which can be a real feature for an overtaxed student.
