Angelina's Dance of Friendship por Katharine Holabird
Angelina befriends Anya, who is a girl from another country that is joining the same dance class Angelina is in. Though they are friends at first, Anya soon receives all the attention from their peers and the adults, making Angelina jealous. She decides not to share anything with Anya to show her she is mad. They fight about jealousy, then realize it's silly and become friends again. Genre: Modern Fantasy-in real life mice definitely could not ballet dance, or have such intimate friendships or feelings of jealousy. Angelina is a round character because her thoughts, actions, motives, and feelings are all shared. She also grows throughout the story because she becomes aware of treating people kindly and caring for them. Media: computer generated… (más)

Charactarization: Angelina is a flat and dynamic character because we do not know much about her beyond her dancing life, we do see her change and develop as she learns how to deal with her friend even when she is frustrated.
Review: This is a good example of fiction because it makes the unrealistic story of two mice balerina's becoming good friends seems possible. Anya moves in with Angelina for the summer and although they do have some issues they also learn some very valuable life lessons.… (más)
