Reg Manning (1905–1986)

Even if you don't happen to follow golf, you'll get quite a few laughs from this book. Manning, the longtime editorial cartoonist for the Arizona Republic, was also a golfer (by his own confession, in the preface), and the result is this very funny book which has witty writing to go along with an enormous collection of funny drawings. One of the running gags in the book is the hole placed at the corner of each page, which is incorporated into sketches. Top-notch stuff, though you wonder if every golfer was willing to get the joke. Some interesting motion analysis with skeletons for the art-minded.… (más)
