The Doctor goes into the Gallifreyan matrix to prove his innocence in an assassination conspiracy.

I'm not sure why I liked this one. There's a nice sci-fi concept or two, but the story is kind of a mess that doesn't tie them together or clearly explain them. There's an almost Rambo-like action sequence, but it takes place in a virtual universe with no established physical rules. It's been a few months since I've seen a good Tom Baker story, though, and I guess it's just what I wanted to see.… (más)

Abducted, brainwashed humans believe they're fighting various historical wars on Earth.

One of the best classic Doctor Who stories I've seen yet. The concept is kind of like Dark City, except the people are sent to kill each other instead of just hanging out in a weird city. Things often get bad, but in a kitschy, entertaining sort of way (for instance, the villains are remarkably similar to The Monarch from Venture Bros., but they're supposed to be taken seriously).

Unseen aliens/machines need strong minds and destroy what they can't use.

Sometimes it's very good, sometimes it's pretty bad - in just about every aspect of the show. There's more good than bad, but the bad is bad enough that I can't bring myself to give it a good score. I enjoyed watching it well enough. Zoe's very-mini miniskirt doesn't hurt.
