Ruusumäen perheen lapset Ossi, Väinö ja Annamari odottavat isä Ruusumäkeä kotiin, koska hän on luvannut viedä lapset retkelle. Retkelle pakataan mukaan monenlaista tärkeää tavaraa, kuten esimerkiksi kaappikello ja suuret liuskekivet. Retki suuntautuu satamaan, jossa he saavat aikaiseksi kaikenlaista hämminkiä. Erinäisten sattumusten kautta he saavat käyttöönsä veneen, joskaan he eivät kovin pitkälle ehtineet veneellään seilata. Tarina on todella mukaansatempaava ja kuvat ovat mainioita. Olen tavannut kirjailijan ja täytyy todeta, että isä Ruusumäen ja kirjailijan ulkonäössä on joitakin yhäläisyyksiä :))… (más)
Very funny book about kids in hospital, based on children's own experiences and stories. Drawing is excellent, story both hilarious and scary in right ways. This is the book I'll read to my kids, when they have to go and stay in hospital.
The only thing I didn't quite like was the very strong accent of the indian chief. Couldn't understand what he was saying.

Nice children's story, but not as fun as author's later works. Still we read it twice in same day. The pictures are great and help to keep the less fluent story together.
