Oh goodness, this book wore me out. I just couldn't believe anybody would allow their "best friend" to dictate who they would have for a lover even under the guise of fearing for their safety. I just wish that situation had resolved so much sooner than it did. I felt the beginning 25% was too long and boring. I almost made it a DNF but then did finish it. I did really like the ending a lot.

Was just an okay read.
A bit long winded & repetitive.

Not for me.
I ended up putting it on my 'book rejected' shelf.

In 2016 I read another book by [a:S.E. Lund|6426012|S.E. Lund|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1365116037p2/6426012.jpg] and it was worse than this one.
She will probably end up in my 'author rejected' shelf unless one of my GR friends can convince me to give her another try.

There are numerous editing problems.
Just to name a few there are wrong words and improper placing of words, punctuation not properly used, and running sentences.
There was so many editing problems that it made it impossible to enjoy the story.
You had to work your mind hard to figure out what she was trying to say.

Another problem with the story was unnecessary and redundant information.
There was a long paragraph just describing Eve walking into a building and her umbrella.
No particular reason for it. I kept thinking something was going to happen, but nope.
There are a lot of scenes like this.

The relationships of all the characters are way off.
You keep waiting for something interesting or an answer to ANY of the questions shaped throughout.
That never happens.

In fact, I have to say, this whole book was a lot of words about nothing.

I was very disappointed in the whole thing.

If I could have reached into my Kindle and pulled the book out to stomp on it, rip it up and burn it, I would have.
It was that frustrating.

This was the 2nd book of this author I have read. It is worse than the 1st.
This book and its predecessor has been added to my 'book rejected' shelf.
The author will soon follow.

I tried multiple ways to find this book - any links found lead to Amazon and the book is no longer available. However, i confirmed that the rest of the series is available.
