I though that the art in this was beautiful and I can’t imagine how much time it would have taken to illustrate.

I personally really liked this book. It is about a younger child going to visit his grandfather. His grandfather is a immigrant that does not speak English, so it is hard for them to communicate. Then they find a better way to communicate through drawing together, and they become a lot closer than they have in a long time. I think that this book could be used to teacher younger children that there are ways to communicate with others, that don't involve speaking.

Great picture books for a parent and child to explore together. Minimal words and wonderful illustrations lead the reader through a fantastical adventure when Iris discovers a magical elevator.
