I liked this book for two reasons. First, I liked how the illustrations showed how Jack changed from this confident happy dog in the beginning of the book to a depressed dog in the middle of the book. Second, I liked how the dog had a very believable character who naturally would be upset if he was taken from his kind owner and passed on to a new person. The main message of this book was to love your pets or they will try to leave you.

This is a great book about counting to ten and back down. My mom used to read this book to me as a kid and I loved it! Reading it now it doesn't make quite as much sense as it did when I was a kid but it is still a great book to help learn counting. This book would be good when learning how to count and is likely only relevant to kindergarteners.

wonderful. read in one day while in the hammock. Helen has brain cancer. Elliott cares for her and gets friends together to celebrate 20th anniv. Daugh. Anna meets Vic (her moms student in counseling). Very good novel with alive characters who are just like us, trying to get by.
