This book breaks down how to set-up reading groups, how often to have groups meet, and how to meet the needs of all the students. They discuss why and how to do read alouds and think alouds which teachers can use to model the reading process. Vocabulary,phonics, comprehension, and assessment are also discussed. This is for grades 3 to 6 but these concepts/activities could be taught to younger students.
Superb. The best? A definite "desert island" book...if the desert island has kids on it, and they want to learn to read English.
