The Great Escape or The Sewer Story por Peter Lippman
I just paid $115 for The Great Escape: The Sewer Story. It was my son's favorite book in the early 80s. Every trip to the public library we would return with this book. At the time I recall dred He is now graduating from U of M's law school and this will be his graduation gift. :o)
A very good book explaining the routine in the day of all different kinds of trains.
This book is about a witch putting a spell on roses, if the princess picks the roses she and the rest of the kingdom, except the magic fairy, will fall asleep for 100 years. The only way to wake them up is to get a prince to kiss the princess. The story is a peom.
I loved this book. It is now the 2nd of my library. It is a baby board book in the shape of a house.
For an extension my students will write a story, the story will be writen as a poem. We will also make their stories into baby board books and can be any shape they would like. The students will also illustrate their stories.… (más)

We dug this out of my husbands toy box that his father had saved. I didn't think my son would go for the illustrations, but it is his most frequently requested book.
