This is a very short e-book which I downloaded at no cost from Amazon. It's a very moving account of the author's job as a foster parent, starting with the emergency call-out to collect Sarah, the newborn baby of a drug addict.

I read it in just one sitting, partly because it was so short and partly because it was extremely interesting, giving a great insight into the life of a foster carer, with the highs and lows, written from a personal and (at times) quite emotive viewpoint.

Although this is a short story that can be read in less than half an hour, it is engrossing yet heartbreaking.
Rosie Lewis is a foster parent and skillfully tells the story of Angell who came to her one Christmas Eve.
I have such respect for people who foster children. It must be one of the hardest things to do, suddenly thrust into a child's life, sometimes a broken child and a child who likely doesn't want to be there at least initially. It takes a special kind of person to be able to love and nurture these children and then to let them go.
Rosie Lewis is a wonderful storyteller and although this was a very short read, I very much enjoyed it.
