An excellent biography of journalist, feminist, and activist Gloria Steinem, focused on her childhood, early adulthood, and the founding of Ms. magazine, which she co-founded with Dorothy Pitman Hughes.
Back matter includes a one-page biography, additional sources, and page-by-page notes with more detail and full names (e.g. Wilma Mankiller, Bella Abzug, David Bale).
