PAUL LEVINE worked as a newspaper reporter, a law professor and a trial lawyer before becoming a full-time novelist. Obviously, he cannot hold a job. Paul claims that writing fiction comes naturally: he told whoppers for many years in his legal briefs. His books have been translated into 23 languages, none of which he can read.
He has won the John D. MacDonald fiction award and has been nominated for an Edgar, a Macavity, the International Thriller Writers Award, and the James Thurber Humor Prize.

To Speak for the Dead por Paul Levine
clever plot with interesting methods of killing people- characters more than a little flat & formulaic. This is a first effort , though, so might try another
Huge suspension of disbelief required, but otherwise pretty good. I really like the Jake Lassiter character. The side trip to London was ludicrous as was the fact that the FBI didn't just come in and take over when it became apparent that a serial killer was on the loose. Charlie Riggs is a wonderful character and the "Passion Prince" was fun as well. Mixed feelings about this series, but I can forgive a lot when I like the main character.

Enjoyed first book in this series but just couldn’t get into this one. Several of the characters were over-the-top quirky to the point of cartoonish. Gave up at about 60% because I just didn’t care what happened.
