This was a decent mystery though it lacked clues for the reader to solve it independently. The 'cozy' background was unique in that it involved a family business (growing olives & pressing them into olive oils) but one that was owned & run by "recovering" Mafia family members (ones out of prison & others all going straight). While I found the recipes at the end of the chapters sounded good, I would have preferred having them all at the end of the book where they didn't interrupt the flow of my reading.… (más)

Thirty-six-year-old Becky Montgomery takes a week-long vacation on the cruise ship “Alexandra’s Dream” with her two children, Connor (who is ten) and Sarah (who is seven). The vacation is paid for by her mother-in-law, who is also going to be on the ship with some family members. Becky’s husband (Ryder) died a couple of years ago and Becky thinks maybe this would be a good idea for her son (Connor) who has been withdrawn lately. While on board Becky meets the ships handsome diving instructor, Dylan Langstaff. But is she ready to become involved again? Then there is the mystery treasure hunt on board for the moon goddess pendant, which it is said to bring luck, love, and romance…

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved the setting aboard the cruise ship, and the fun excursions they went on. I particularly enjoyed the parts with Becky and Sarah playing and swimming with the dolphins. I liked Becky’s niece, Laura. Dylan was a great hero, charming and kind. It was nice to see Connor eventually come out of his shell and start to enjoy things again. And Becky’s daughter Sarah was such a sweet little girl, always cheerful and optimistic. There was also a little intrigue and suspense concerning the pendant and some characters who wanted to steal it.
