I had never heard this amazing story before. This is exactly what we need worldwide today. This story excited me as I was reading it. I felt the Holy Spirit move me closer to Him. I read this book on the Sabbath and all in one sitting. Not much more I can say except if you want or need a spiritual uplift this is the book.

The Revival You Want. The Revival You Need! by Rick Leland and Duncan Campbell

There are only 97 pages in this little book detailing the Hebrides Revival of late 1949 through 1953. However, in that few number of pages there is a great amount of information. The theme throughout is "One more inch. One more person."
Rick Leland relates growing in relationship with God to pole vaulting. A pole vaulter doesn't start at the greatest height. He/She builds upon each vault by inches. So it is with telling others about salvation. We don't try to tell the whole world at one time. We tell one person at a time.
Duncan Campbell went to the Hebrides off the coast of Scotland at the request of the parish pastor of one of the islands. This was the result of two old ladies praying fervently for hours about revival in their little parish. What started as a ten day revival meeting turned into five weeks. The Holy Spirit was at work in the little villages throughout the Hebrides.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in sharing Jesus with others. Share with one more person.

Casting Out Demons For Fun + Profit is Rick's personal and learned perspective, on the true meaning of ministry. He brings the reader to understand that being a follower of Jesus is not about selfish living, rather, we are to exemplify Jesus in all of our actions. In Christ's family, individuals come together to help sharpen one another as to help them attain their personal best, in the life that God has for them. Casting Out Demons For Fun + Profit shows the reader's that God provides us with more than one tool in our toolbelt to maintain a well-rounded life; of being His disciple. Join Rick as he demystifies the topic of casting out demons, in Jesus' name.… (más)

I won this book from LibraryThing's Early reviewers. I didn't really start to enjoy this book until the 6th chapter. It was interesting and gave me a lot to think about. I did like getting a glimpse of the Amish life from a man's point of view.
