C- (Meh).

A man is wrongfully imprisoned. I assume this movie is less frustrating for people who haven't read the book. I'm not sure how you could condense this story into a two hour movie, but this is not how.

Updated review Tower of London on LibraryThing https://www.librarything.com/work/17748292/reviews/214707362_531434626
Shakespeare’s Richard III the disappearance of two princes, Edward and Richard, in 1483 is one of the most intriguing ‘murders’ of the Tower of London. The mysterious episode unfolded with sinister speed over a single summer, yet is still being debated by historians centuries later.

Richard murders his way to the throne of England, killing his brother Clarence, his political rivals, his nephews, and even his beloved wife Anne.

The Princes, sons of Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville, was born during the intense turmoil of the Wars of the Roses. On Edward’s death in 1483, his brother the Duke of Gloucester (later Richard III) became Lord Protector of Edward’s son and heir, the 12-year-old Edward V. The Duke immediately placed Edward in the Tower of London, closely followed by his 9-year-old brother Richard, for 'their protection’.

The History of the princes in the tower was not so well known, it was crucial to Richard III that Shakespeare makes the princes memorable are engaged as icon figures despite their youth and their relatively small roles in the story.

THE WARS OF THE ROSES
The Wars of the Roses (1455-85) were a series of civil wars, with two rival branches of the Plantagenet family fighting over the throne of England.

Classic horror flicks, with the monster that most others are copies of. The first three are the best, and Son of Frankenstein is the source material for Mel Brooks Young Frankenstein.
