A Slice of Paradise, Book 2 in the Lone Star Loves series, is a sweet, refreshing read! Emotions run high bringing both laughter and tears. I fell in love with the charming little town of Village Green, Texas, and its residents. The smoothly flowing plot kept me immersed in the story from beginning to end. Beautifully crafted characters stole my heart, and I came to care about them. My favorite character is Mary Jo whose selflessness and strong faith-in-action are inspiring. I love the way Eden and Joe grow personally and spiritually and how their sweet romantic relationship develops. Although the setting is the same and there are some recurring characters from the first book in the series, this second book can easily be read as a standalone. I think fans of contemporary Christian romance will love this story as much as I did, and I highly recommend it.
