Kristin Hunter Lattany (1931–2008)

This interesting and involving story focuses on the relationship between Africans and African Americans, from the point of view, with comments from her best friend, of an American woman who tries to help a young African woman trying to extend her visa. In a more general sense, throughout all of its subplots, it follows, sometimes rather wryly, the shifts in the characters opinions and attitudes towards things great and small.
