Fun little collection; I recognize a lot of the styles (these cartoonists tend to be collected!). There's no commentary, not much of a theme - or rather, there are several repeated themes; boy meets girl, husband and wife feuding, man ogles woman/women...A lot of pinup girls, one way or another. Oh, and kids being sassy, sometimes on purpose. Nothing particularly memorable, but mildly enjoyable once. Read it, discard it.

Hilarious. I simply didn't realize how popular the topic of SEX was, over 60 years ago. Plenty of sexist marriage jokes as well, of course.

Lariar pretty much takes every private eye novel cliche and situation and deftly connects them into a decent story that will keep you reading to the end, but it never hints of originality or presents its characters, even the first person private eye narrator, as multi-dimensional personalities.
